Yamhill County is willing to transfer a beautiful strip of land along the river in Newberg, which offers excellent Newberg bike access for residents. This property is easily reachable by bike, making it an ideal location for outdoor activities. Additionally, a private company has generously offered to donate time and materials to build mountain biking trails in this area.
THIS SEEMS TO BE A NO BRAINER
However, the politics of the current board seem to be stalling this opportunity. It's crucial that public pressure is applied to ensure that we do not destroy the tranquil and undeveloped lands of Rilee Park—lands that were donated with the good faith that they would be preserved.
The Riverfront Site is a clear winner for enhancing recreational options in our community.
